Golf 2024 – Karuna, which means compassion in Sanskrit, is the heart and soul of Karuna Charities. It is a grass-roots organization that makes a difference in the lives of the needy and disadvantaged in the United States, India, and other countries.

Karuna Charities held a highly successful Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 25 at the verdant Stonewall Country Club in Gainesville, VA on a perfect, warm sunny day. The enthusiastic golfers came from many backgrounds.

The format of play was Captain’s Choice/Scramble (four person teams). Each of four persons from the tee, select the best drive, and hit from the spot.

The prizes were for first, second, and third place as well as Longest Drive Hole.

There were many Bronze, Silver, Gold. Platinum, Diamond, and Emerald sponsors.

The players enjoyed a sumptuous lunch before the prizes were announced.

Amrit Kalotra, president of Karuna Charities thanked all the organizers and players for a highly successful golf fundraiser.
