Rescheduled Fifth Annual Golf Tournament Successful

Karuna Charities’ Fifth Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Reston National Golf Club, Reston, Virginia on Saturday, July 24, 2004 in good weather instead of June 5 when it was rained out.

The golfers were glad that the weather cooperated this time. Forty-four golfers registered and all were happy with the arrangements and the course. The chairperson of Karuna Charities, Mrs. Lekha Sreenivasan and her husband, Ambassador to Austria, T.P. Sreenivasan, who played, were a welcome addition to the tournament.

The golfers were flagged off by the president, Mrs. Amrit Kalotra. At the end of the day, there was a prize distribution ceremony followed by a barbeque.

Mrs. Savita Malthotra, Mrs. Sujata Avasthi, and Mrs. Kiran Kadian were the officials who were present on the day.
