Golf 2024 – Karuna, which means compassion in Sanskrit, is the heart and soul of Karuna Charities. It is a grass-roots organization that makes a difference in the lives of the needy and disadvantaged in the United States, India, and other countries.

Karuna Charities Washington Inc. held a highly successful Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 25 at the verdant Stonewall Country Club in Gainesville, VA on a perfect, warm sunny day. The 72 enthusiastic golfers came from many backgrounds.

The format of play was Captain’s Choice/Scramble (four person teams). Each of four persons hit from the tee box, selected the best drive, and hit from the spot, and so on until the hole was completed.

The prizes were for first and second place from Blue Tees, White Tees as well as Red/Gold Tees. There were four Longest Drive Hole Competitions, four Closest to the Pin Competitions. and a Mega Put Competition. The list of winners is noted hereunder.

The players enjoyed a sumptuous lunch before the prizes were announced. Amrit Kalotra, President of Karuna Charities thanked all the organizers and players for a highly successful golf fundraiser. The Karuna Charities Board Members and Ambassadors handed out raffle prizes and trophies to the winners.
